now that it’s all coming to an end…🪷 when i tell you i SCREAMED the moment i found out they were setting the new season HERE??!! first of all, it’s indeed one of my fav shows. second, it’s literally one of the hottest in the industry right now. i knew it was gonna be a huge win for us in the global entertainment scene--and it’s actually happening. now i keep seeing our home getting name-dropped left and right on my feed, the tourist economy is booming, and it’s opening doors for the local actors/breakout star to finally get their flowers on a large scale!!! oh this is big for us guysssss🥳🥳🥳
yeah it’s def a slow burn to takes things off than the last one and the finale feels a bit rushed. but that doesn’t mean it’s not a masterpiece in its own- with brilliant writing/dialogue and standout performances from the ensemble cast. tbh i think that slow burn actually strengthens the bond between us as viewers and the characters even more (yes, i cried when i found out who #💀 in the finale🥲).
what really stands out tho is the whole spiritual theme that runs through the season. it adds so much depth to the story and it’s way more philosophical and emotionally intense than the previous seasons. okay maybe i’m a little biased because it’s set in my country, but i genuinely think it still holds up against the rest, despite all the rants about how the show’s “getting boring” or whatever. i get it- when a show is that good, the expectations are skyrocket. but i have no idea how it suddenly turned into a murder mystery with all these wild fan theories flying around?? this show has always been about privileged white people doing dumb stuff in a foreign country and that’s exactly what makes it so good.💁🏻♂️
also, major shoutout to mike white for portraying thailand in the most stunning way possible. i mean i live here right and even i was watching like… wow. the visuals were absolutely breathtaking. and the music choices???!! seeing our culture, language, & scenery being celebrated on such a global scale honestly means a lot to me not gonna lie. can’t wait to see what the next season brings!!!!!! woo-loowooo hooo🙈🙉🙊🐵❤️🔥
